I have always loved animals, and luckly had parents and then a husband that let me live the life I wanted, being able to raise and show animals. I have raised and showed dogs and now I raise and show rabbits and I love it so much more. :) I have two boys and hoepfully someday they will want to raise and show rabbits as well and we will become a family affair!! My boys love to helo me with the rabbits and they love the babies and the babies love them.
We own two dogs Stashia and Maka Koa A tortie shell cat named Ginger (after her spay)
Blue Tongue Skink named "Uluru" (this is a baby pic, she is twice this size now, love that Blue Tounge)
And then of course about 40 rabbits:) I would have many more if I had the space but at the moment this is all I have space and time for. I think all animals need to be treated the same and for that my buns and my lizard need the same attention as my dogs. So I don't have a large Rabbitry so that everyone gets the same love and attention they deserve. :)
My buns live in outdoor hutches and they are very nice hutches. They have a separate nest box for each hutch built in. They are like little condos. :) All the babies however are kept inside and only go out to nurse until they are about 3-4weeks old and then if the weather permits they get to be out with mom all day and then in at night to avoid predators. All our kits are very social and have been handled since birth. I hope that gives you a little idea of my family and our Rabbitry!!
